What uses 70% of America’s electricity and one-eighth of our water? The city of today. How can waste be reused, energy be saved, and climate change be reversed? The city of tomorrow.

In 1998, the US Green Building Council adopted the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) system to rate Green Buildings. Buildings compete to earn Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Certified ratings, by collecting points in five areas:

Sustainable Sites, Materials and Resources, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Indoor Air Quality
